About the Course

Winchester Country Club features a private 18-hole golf course in Winchester, Virginia, open to members and their guests. The course measures 6,367 yards and is known for its strong conditioning, bent grass greens and tees, and a layout that offers both beauty and challenge. A stream runs through several fairways, adding both character and strategy to the course. Practice facilities include a driving range, practice green, and chipping green. Our golf program is led by PGA professionals and includes a full pro shop, club storage and repair, private lessons, and active tournament programming for men, women, and juniors.

PALS Program

The PALS Program is designed for novice adult WCC members with golf privileges who want to improve their golf skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you are a complete beginner or have limited experience, the program welcomes all participants. Golf shoes are not required; athletic shoes are acceptable. Instruction covers golf fundamentals, course care, etiquette, pace of play, and basic rules, both on the practice facilities and on the course.

      Andy Hersey, PGA Head Golf Professional

      Andy Hersey has been the PGA Head Golf Professional at Winchester Country Club since 2013.  Andy earned his Class “A” PGA Membership in 1999.  Andy enjoys all aspects of the golf business, especially managing tournaments and working with the club’s junior golfers.  Andy is a Winchester, Virginia native and has previously been the PGA Head Golf Professional at the Lowes Island Club, Trump National Washington DC, and Fauquier Springs Country Club.

      Trent Passmore, Assistant Golf Professional

      Trent Passmore has been an Assistant Golf Professional at Winchester Country Club since 2007.  Trent specializes in teaching golfers of all ages and abilities and is considered one of the top golf instructors in the region.  Trent was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina.
