Per the USGA Rules of Golf, the Committee has established a time limit within each round must be completed for the Byrd Match
Play Championship. Competitors are allowed to arrange a date and time of their match prior to the time limit and then play the
match accordingly. If the match is not played on an agreed upon date and time prior to the deadline, the dates above with a 2:00pm
start for rounds 1-6 and a 10:00am start for round 7 will stand as the official Starting Time.
Eligibility: Open to amateur male club members with golf privileges that have reached the age of 13 by March 2, 2025 with a
valid USGA Handicap.Format: Individual Match Play, Net. Single Elimination. USGA Rules Govern Play. Rounds #1 to #6 are 18-hole matches.
Round #7 is a 36-hole match.Tees: Matches will be contested from the Gold Tees. Competitors have the option of playing from the Green Tees.
Competitors playing from the Green Tees must do so for all rounds in the tournament. Competitors may not switch back and
forth from the Gold to Green tees for matches.Field: The field is limited to 128 players on a first come, first served basis. The Defending Champion, Russ Korn, will be
awarded the #1 seed and the runner-up, Mark Shull, will receive the #2 seed. All other seeds will be assigned using the 2024
WCC Player of the Year Final Points Ranking. Ties for seed will be broken by a draw of lots. Members with no points / ranking
from 2024 will be tied for the last seed in the field with ties broken using the aforementioned method. Late entries will not be

Golf: Par 3 Championship
The 2025 Par-3 Competition will begin at 9:00 AM, with starting times and pairings set by the Golf Staff. All 18 holes will be set as par-3s with special tee markers and distances. The format is individual stroke play, with Men’s and Ladies’ Gross & Net Divisions. Handicaps will be 75% of the Gold Tee Course Handicap for men and 75% of the Red Tee Course Handicap for women. The entry fee is $22 per player and covers prizes. Ties will be broken using the USGA recommended method. This event qualifies for Player of the Year points.
Golf: Two Man Championship (Registration Deadline)
The 2025 Two-Man Championship kicks off April 13 and features Net Four-Ball Match Play in a single-elimination format. Rounds 1-5 are 18-hole matches, with the final round played over 36 holes. Teams arrange their own match times before each round’s deadline, with default start times set if no agreement is reached. The $32 entry fee includes prizes and trophies, and Player of the Year points are awarded to participants.
Golf: Opening Day
Opening Day kicks off the 2025 season with a 2 Net Best Balls of 4 Player Team format on April 5. Teams will be assigned using A-B-C-D handicap pairings, with 85% of course handicaps applied. Entry is $22 per player, covering prizes only. Participants must register individually and select their preferred tee when signing up.
Golf: Super Senior Two Man Championship (Registration Deadline)
The Super Senior Two-Man Tournament is open to male club members age 65 or older and will take place over four rounds from May 17 to August 2. The format is Net Four-Ball Match Play, with 18-hole matches in a single-elimination bracket. Players will compete using Combo Tees and receive 90% of their course handicap. The entry fee is $13 per player, covering prizes. Ties will be settled with a hole-by-hole playoff.
Junior Golf: Intraclub Session 1 Begins
Junior Golf Program participants must have WCC Family Golf Privileges. No prior golf experience is required to participate in the Intraclub Program. The Intraclub Program provides a team activity within the Junior Golf Program. Program will help develop friendships in golf, while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, golf knowledge, and golf skills. Enable junior golfers to learn golf skills on the practice facilities and on the course.
Golf: Ladies Boister Cup (Registration Deadline)
The Boister Cup begins May 18 and features individual net match play in a single-elimination format. Players arrange their own match times before each round’s deadline, with default tee times set for 2:00 PM if no prior agreement is made. Seeding is based on the previous years’ Player of the Year rankings, and the $13 entry fee covers prizes. Winners will earn Player of the Year points and an invitation to Awards Night.

Per the USGA Rules of Golf, the Committee has established a time limit within each round must be completed for the Two-Lady Championship. Competitors are allowed to arrange a date and time of their match prior to the set deadline and then play the match accordingly. If the match is not played on an agreed upon date and time prior to the deadline, the time of 2:00pm for rounds 1 to 4 on the date posted for the respective round by the Committee will stand as the official Starting Time.
Format: Four-Ball Match Play, Net. Each match is 18-holes. Single Elimination.
Tees: The Red tee is the default tee for the matches. Competitors have the option of playing from the Orange Tees. Competitors playing from the Orange Tees must do so for all rounds in the tournament. Competitors may not switch back and forth from the Red and Orange tees for matches.
Handicaps: Players will receive 90% of their course handicap for each match based on the most recent handicap revision. The playing handicaps of all four players are reduced by the playing handicap of the player with the lowest handicap, who shall then play from scratch. Each of the three other players will receive 100% of the difference.
Draw: The Defending Champions, Bev Corrigan & Susan Tague, will receive the #1 seed and the Defending Runners-Up, Ebeth Peer & Amy Sarver, will receive the #2 seed. All other seeds will be completed by using the 2024 Player of the Year Points season end ranking for those registered for the event. For the Two Lady Championship, the aggregate Player of the Year rank for the team will determine the seed. Ties for seed from a tie in Player of the Year Points rank will be broken by a draw of lots. Members with no points/rank from the 2024 Player of the Year Points List will be given a rank of last rank + 1 for the Two Lady Championship. Changes to team composition and late entries will not be accepted once the bracket is published.

Teams: Each team must consist of one Senior (55 yrs & over) and one Junior (54 yrs & under). The event is open to all golf eligible members, ladies and men.

The 2025 Super Senior Club Championship is open to members aged 65 and older, featuring 18-hole individual match play in a gross, single-elimination format. The event includes multiple flights, each limited to 8 competitors, with the first round on June 7 and finals by July 19. Matches will be played from Combo Tees, and players can arrange their own match times before the official deadline of 2:00 pm for each round. Entry is $13 per player, which covers prizes.

Golf: PALS Program (First Day)
Playing And Learning/laughing Simultaneously
Dear Winchester Country Club Golf Member,
The PALS program offers golf activities that will help novice adult WCC Members with golf privileges become more proficient with the game. PALS activities will be conducted in a relaxed, stress free atmosphere so participants can maximize their potential to learn, enjoy the game of golf, and have fun at the club. No golf experience is required for the PALS program and new golfers are strongly encouraged to participate. Adult participants should be novice golfers with limited golf experience. It is helpful for participants to have clubs but it is not necessary in order to participate. Clubs can be provided for use during the activities if advance notice is provided by a participant. Golf shoes are not necessary, athletic shoes can be worn.
The program schedule will cover general fundamentals of the game with each session. The clinics will also provide information on the equipment needed, care of the course, etiquette, pace of play, and basic rules of golf. The clinics will provide knowledge on a broad range of golf fundamentals granting the participants the opportunity to get experience with the game on the practice facilities and on the course.
There will be 1 session with 5 activities for the 2025 season. Participants are to be adult WCC Members with golf privileges. The PALS Program is $100 for the 2025 session. Winchester Country Club members that do not have golf privileges will not be able to participate in the PALS program for 2025.

Golf: McCormac Cup
Competitors may play in the event at their convenience. Tee times will not be set by the golf shop staff. Make your own pairings and starting times.
Competitors MUST declare each round as a “McCormac Cup” Tournament round prior to play by signing the registration sheet on the 1st Tee for the score to count per round.
A competitor may only play three rounds for the tournament. The best two scores will count as the player’s McCormac Cup 36-hole score. Any additional rounds turned after the three McCormac Cup rounds have been played will not be considered for a competitor.
McCormac Cup competitors are permitted to play the course in between tournament rounds for this multi-day 36-hole stroke play tournament or play multiple tournament rounds in one day.
Following play, scorecards are to be returned to the scorecard drop box on the front counter of the golf pro shop.
Scorecards are to be kept individually with the competitors gross score per hole, the competitor’s first & last name, and the tee played.
Tournament Rounds MUST be attested by a fellow competitor or marker.
Competitors are not permitted to play in match play and stroke play club events simultaneously under USGA Rule.
Divisions: There will be 2 divisions. Men’s Division & Ladies Division.
Format: 36 Holes Individual Stroke Play, Gross & Net. Gross Winner is the McCormac Cup Champion per Division. There are both gross & net prizes for each the Men’s Division & the Ladies Division.
Tees:
Men: Gold Tees. Men may play the Green Tees but by doing so, the competitor is eligible for Net Prizes only.
Ladies: Red Tees. Ladies may play the Orange Tees but by doing so, the competitor is eligible for Net Prizes only.
Handicap: Per USGA recommendation, there will be a handicap allowance of 95% for each stipulated round using the May 25, 2024 handicap revision for all rounds.
Entry fee: $22 per player. Entry includes prizes only.
WCC Player of the year points event:
Gross: 150 pts 1st, 100pts 2nd, 75 pts 3rd, 50 pts 4th, 25 pts 5th, 10 pts Participation
Net: 125 pts 1st, 75 pts 2nd, 50 pts 3rd, 35 pts 4th, 20 pts 5th, 10 pts Participation
Conditions: Prizes and points will be distributed based on finish position with the competitor receiving the higher amount between gross and net. Gross scoring will have precedence.

Format: 1 Best Ball Net of the 2-Player Team. Teams will be formed by a Blind Draw.
All handicaps are invited. Field of players will be divided into 2 halves to create “A” & “B” players. Teams will be comprised of an “A” & “B” player. Field must consist of an even number of player’s. Players on a team will play together and be paired with another team in the field by Blind Draw except for the defending Champions, Cary Bartlett & Dan Troxell, which will be paired as a team.
All other pairings requests will not be honored.
Tees: Gold Tees or Green Tees
The Gold Tees are the default tee. Competitors may play from the Green Tees but must declare that they are playing the Green Tees prior to Team Draw on Friday, May 30.
Handicap: Players will receive 85% of their course handicap. The USGA Handicap revision for Friday, May 30 will be used for play of the tournament.
Entry Fees: $67.00 per player. Entry includes prizes. Entry includes food, beer, & wine at Friday’s Player’s Party/Team Draw and “limited” on-course beer during Saturday’s round. Carts not included.

The Competitive Division requires a USGA Handicap Index for both the member and guest, while the Social Division is for those who prefer a more relaxed format and does not require a handicap. The event spans June 6-7, with a shotgun start for both practice rounds and the championship tournament. Competitive Division play will feature a 2 Best Balls Net format, while the Social Division will play a Team Scramble.

Golf: Governor's Cup (Men’s & Ladies)
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, June 17

There are 2 divisions for the Tournament. Men’s & Ladies
Competitors may play the course in between tournament rounds on Saturday after the first round of play but not on Sunday morning prior to the second round of play.
Format: Individual Stroke Play, Net, 36-holes
Tees:
Men: Gold Tees or Green Tees. The Gold Tee is the default tee. Competitors playing the Green Tees need to indicate this on the registration sheet.
Ladies: Red Tees or Orange Tees
Handicaps:
Competitors will receive 95% of their course handicap calculated from the June 24 update.
Both Governors Cup rounds will be played using the June 28 handicap.
Men & Ladies have separate divisions for play, so no other handicap adjustments apply.
Starting Times:
Times and pairings will be set by the golf staff in the 7:30am to 10:30am timeframe pending field size.
Ladies will have the later block of tee times on Saturday. Men, earlier block on Saturday.
Ladies will have the earlier block of times on Sunday. Men, later block on Sunday.
Ties:
A tie for the Championship will be broken by a sudden death, hole by hole playoff. Competitors in the playoff will receive the same handicap for the playoff that they had in the tournament rounds.
Ties for other than 1st place will be broken by a match of cards using the USGA recommended method.
If there are 3 or more competitors in the Championship Playoff, the results of the playoff will supersede a match of cards for ties for 2nd, 3rd, place etc. Once the Champion is determined, the hole by hole playoff will end and a match of cards will be used to break ties if necessary.

Golf: Red, White & Blue
The 2025 Red, White & Blue Tournament offers a unique individual stroke play format for both men and women. Competitors can play at their convenience on July 4, with the flexibility to choose from three sets of tees (Red, White, and Blue) for each hole. Players will complete 6 holes from each tee and must adhere to the specific tee selection for the round. Handicaps are applied based on tee choice, and players must sign in at the registration sheet to declare their round as a tournament round. The entry fee is $22, and the event offers Player of the Year points for top finishers.
Junior Golf: Little Chippers - Clinic 6
Recommended for ages 4-6. Little Chippers will consist of age appropriate activities designed to introduce the game of golf to juniors ages 4 to 6.
Golf: Men’s Member-Guest
The 2025 Men’s Member-Guest Tournament runs July 9-13, featuring five 9-hole Round Robin matches and a Championship Shootout. Teams will be grouped into flights based on handicap index, with tee options available by age. The event includes a stag dinner, gifts from Titleist/FootJoy, and food and beverage. Registration opens April 3, 2025, at 7 PM and fills quickly. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at registration.
Junior Golf: Intraclub Session 3 Begins

Eligibility:

Second round pairings will be completed by gross score with the leader’s starting time being last out.
Format:
36-Holes Stroke Play; Gross.
Tournament will serve as Championship Flight Qualifier for the Men’s Club Championship (see Club Championship information page for details).

Those members that play in the Anderson Cup and earn a qualifying spot for the WCC Championship Flight of the Men’s Club Championship will not be able to refuse a spot in the Championship Flight to then play in a Numbered Flight of the Men’s Club Championship.
Those members that play in the Anderson Cup and earn a qualifying spot for the WCC Championship Flight of the Men’s Senior Club Championship will not be able to refuse a spot in the Championship Flight to then play in a Numbered Flight of the Men’s Senior Club Championship.

Handicaps: Event is played at scratch. No handicaps will be used.
Ties:
In the event of a tie for the Anderson Cup Championship, play will immediately continue, starting at Hole #1, with a stroke play, hole by hole playoff until a winner is determined.

All other ties will be broken by a match of cards using the USGA recommended method. If there are 3 or more competitors in the Championship Playoff, the results of the playoff will supersede a match of cards for ties for 2nd, 3rd, place etc. Once the Champion is determined, the hole by hole playoff will end and a match of cards will be used to break ties if still necessary.

The defending champion, Jeff Killian, will be the #1 seed in the Championship Flight.
The 2025 Anderson Cup Tournament will serve as Championship Flight Qualifier for the 2025 Men’s Senior Club Championship.
The age eligible players with the 7 best scores will earn entry into the Championship Flight.
Lower score will have the better seed.
Ties for seed will be broken by a match of cards using the USGA recommended method, unless the tie is broken by the hole by hole playoff to determine the Anderson Cup Champion. If there are 3 or more competitors in the Championship Playoff, the results of the playoff will supersede a match of cards for ties for 2nd, 3rd, place etc. Once the Champion is determined, the hole by hole playoff will end and a match of cards will be used to break ties if necessary.
Ties to determine placement in or out of the Championship Flight will be broken a stroke play, hole by hole playoff to determine the placement of players in the Championship Flight.
Those members that play in the Anderson Cup and earn a qualifying spot for the WCC Senior Championship Flight of the Men’s Club Championship will not be able to refuse a spot in the Championship Flight to then play in a Numbered Flight of the Men’s Senior Club Championship.
