TEAM PAIRINGS PARTY: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11 AT 6PM
ENTRY DEADLINE: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 - ENTRY IS BY INVITATION ONLY
Trent Passmore, Team Pippin Captain
Andy Hersey, Team Gala Captain
Entry Conditions:
Invitation Only. Maximum field, 24 players.
Invitations will be initially awarded to the top 24 eligible individuals on the final standings of the 2024 WCC Ladies Player of the Year Points List. If a top 24 invitation is declined, the invitation will be offered to the next eligible individual on the Ladies POY Points List. This process will be followed to complete the maximum field of 24 players.
If less than 24 individuals accept entry, the field will become the highest number of players that is divisible by 4. If not 24, the field would be 20, 16, etc.
The 2024 WCC POY Points List will be used to determine priority for the field if less than 24 players commit. For example, there are 22 players registered as of the deadline. The field is capped at 20 players. The 21st and 22nd POY ranked players would not gain entry into the event. The top 20 players would gain entry.
Maximum handicap index is 40.0 as of the 9-12-24 USGA revision.
Ties for entry into the field will be broken by a draw of lots.
Team Conditions:
Competitors accepting entry for the 2024 event will play on the same team (Pippin or Gala) as their 2022 team affiliation unless teams are unbalanced in number of players per team.
Entrants that did not participate in the previous year’s Apple Cup will be Free Agents and can be drafted by either team provided there is space on the team. The team that does not hold the Apple Cup will have 1st pick of Free Agents unless the team is already full of returning players.
After the drafting of Free Agents, if teams are unbalanced, the player(s) with the worst POY ranking will be required to switch teams in order to balance the teams.
Each team will vote for one co-captain. The co-captain will assist the Team Captain with responsibilities including but not limited to pairing teams and coordinating team activities prior to and during the event.
Ties for team switching will be broken by a draw of lots.
