Deep red-violet in color, the nose is full of Syrah character, with strong notes of ripe blackberry and blueberry. On the palate, strawberry and cherry are underscored by meringue and liquorice with a subtle hint of leather. The palate is balanced and very smooth, with good body and a very appealing elegance.

Grapes were hand-picked by row as they matured to optimum ripeness. As each batch is received at the winery, the grapes were fermented with indigenous yeast to showcase site expression and kept separate. This way the winemaker has a huge choice once the Pinot Noir has finished its fermentation in barrel for making the final selection for the final blend.
